CCRVT (LVT), Integrative & Rehabilitative Medicine - Service Technician

510 East 62nd Street, New York, NY 10065 Perform a variety of duties in the Rehabilitation Therapy Unit and perform rehabilitation treatments for animal patients. Responsibilities Provide rehabilitation treatments including exercising, massage, hot/cold packing, tub/treadmill treatments, ultrasound, hot/cold therapy, laser treatments and acupuncture. Assess patients for discharge. Communicate professionally with clients and referral veterinarians regarding the patient’s rehabilitation progress. Maintain concise and accurate records of the patient’s treatment progress and charges. Assist in planning, performing and tailoring rehabilitation treatments according to patient needs. Maintain the cleanliness of the Rehabilitation Department. Order and stock supplies as necessary. Perform all other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Full‑time Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in AMC’s Rehab department. NYS Veterinary Technician’s license or permit. Ability to handle and restrain all species of animal. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to bend or kneel for extended periods of time while assisting with patient restraint. Team‑player with the ability to work independently and proactively. Follow detailed directions and established protocols. Electronic medical record experience preferred. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and additional hours as needed.
