If you're driven by purpose and want your work to truly impact lives, we'd love to connect.Location: 12959 Palms W Dr. Loxahatchee, FL, 33470Pay Range: Starting pay is $21 an hour, depending on experience.Job SummaryThe Medical Assistant II (MA II) at AllerVie Health is an experienced clinical team member responsible for supporting both clinical and front desk operations in a fast-paced allergy, asthma, and immunotherapy practice. This role requires proficiency in allergy-specific clinical workflows, the ability to handle administrative tasks, and the capacity to mentor junior staff. The MA II acts as a bridge between clinical and administrative teams, ensuring efficient patient flow and excellent patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently perform all Medical Assistant I (MAI) duties with accuracy and efficiency:Obtain and record patient vital signs including height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.Assist with allergy testing, spirometry, Niox testing, and immunotherapy under supervision.Accurately document patient data in the electronic medical record (EMR)Prepare and maintain exam rooms, including restocking supplies and cleaning between patients.Support patient flow by communicating visit expectations and ensuring timely transitionsUphold HIPAA regulations and infection control standards at all times.Mentor and assist in training new or junior clinical staff.Serve as a liaison between front and back-office teams to support and improve overall clinic workflows.Address routine patient inquiries and issues professionally and promptlyHandle front desk responsibilities as needed, including:Patient check-in and check-outAppointment schedulingInsurance verificationPatient communication via phone, portal, or in personQualifications2-5 years of Medical Assistant experienceProficiency in allergy specific clinical workflows (e.g. skin testing, spirometry, immunotherapy)Working knowledge of front desk operations, including scheduling and insurance processesDemonstrated accuracy and timeliness in EMR documentationAbility to mentor newer staff members while modeling professionalism and teamwork.Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferredStrong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods and communicate effectively, including speaking and hearingRegular use of hands and arms to write, type, and operate office equipmentOccasional physical movement, including reaching, bending, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and sensing odorsAbility to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and occasional overhead reachingAbility to lift and carry moderate weights (up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds regularly) while maintaining visual focus and awarenessWhy Join AllerVie?When you join AllerVie Health, you become part of a purpose-driven team dedicated to transforming lives through compassionate allergy care.
