Family Medicine or Urgent Care physician locums coverage in Texas with a 7 on, 7 off full time schedule and no call. Outpatient urgent care with on site X ray support and a defined procedural mix.

Highlights

• 7 on, 7 off full time schedule
• No call required
• Two clinics in town, about 20 minutes apart, scheduled at one site per day
• Support team includes rad techs for X rays, a full time LVN, 2 charge nurses, and MAs

Practice Setting

• Outpatient urgent care
• Patient ages 6 months and up
• Typical cases include flu, infections, minor illness, migraines, sprains, cuts, bruises, burns, and workers comp
• Average volume 30 to 40 patients per day

Schedule

• Full time, 7 on and 7 off
• Weekdays 9a to 9p
• Weekends 10a to 6p
• No call

Cases and Procedures

• Suturing required
• Laceration repair, I and D, dermabond use
• In grown toenail removal, injections
• Observe drug screen collections

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board certified in Family Medicine
• Texas license required, will not wait for license
• BLS, PALS, and DEA required
