Responsibilities Set up the service area and trays for meal services, adhering to food safety guidelines and following dietary restrictions based on patients' needs. Assist the cook in the preparation and service of meals, meeting scheduled meal times following established policies and procedures within the dietary department to ensure patients receive the highest quality of service. Assist the supervisor with food service using specific procedures, following guidelines and regulations. Deliver residents’ meal carts and stock patient units. Remain knowledgeable of Federal, State, and Community rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
