Job Description
Job Description
About RTCA:
RTCA is a precision aerospace and defense manufacturing group built on decades of hands-on machining expertise, with roots spanning more than 50 years. We support mission-critical commercial and government aerospace programs across North America through four U.S. Centers of Excellence operating as an integrated platform with 150+ CNC machines and a team of 250+ professionals.
Unlike large organizations where roles can be narrow, RTCA offers hands-on ownership and real visibility – you understand how your work supports the team, the operation, and the end customer. Our flat structure allows employees to take initiative, grow their skills, and have their contributions recognized, while still providing the stability, advanced technology, and meaningful work of an established aerospace manufacturer.
At RTCA, we believe in teamwork, excellence, and delivering with pride. One Team! One Mission!
How You’ll Make an Impact:
As the Procurement Supervisor, you will lead the purchasing function across regional aerospace manufacturing facilities, ensuring materials and services are available to support production and customer delivery requirements. By overseeing a team of buyers, managing supplier relationships, and driving procurement performance, you will help maintain an efficient and reliable supply chain that supports operational success, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
What you’ll be doing as a Procurement Supervisor:
- Working a full-time, onsite position at our Fife, WA or Sumner, WA location.
- Supervising and developing a team of buyers supporting two aerospace manufacturing facilities.
- Providing leadership, coaching, training, and performance management to ensure purchasing objectives are achieved.

- Reviewing and approving purchase orders, supplier selections, and procurement strategies in accordance with company policies.
- Leading supplier negotiations to secure favorable pricing, lead times, terms, and service agreements.
- Developing and maintaining strategic supplier relationships to mitigate supply chain risks and support business growth.
- Monitoring inventory levels and purchasing activities to optimize inventory investment while maintaining operational continuity.
- Analyzing procurement data, supplier metrics, and market trends to identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities.
- Supporting new product introductions, customer requirements, and operational initiatives through effective supply chain planning and execution.
- Ensuring compliance with aerospace industry requirements, customer specifications, company procedures, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes, systems, and supplier management practices.
- Assisting with audits, corrective actions, and supplier quality improvement activities as needed.
- Collaborating with leadership to establish departmental goals, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications (Education, skills and experience):
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across departments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Education, skills and experience):
