Bar Pisellino is seeking an experienced and hospitality-driven Floor Manager to support the daily operations of our West Village bar and café. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong teams, and takes pride in creating memorable guest experiences.

The Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing front-of-house operations during service, ensuring exceptional hospitality, maintaining service standards, and supporting the development of the team. As a visible presence on the floor, the Floor Manager serves as a leader, problem solver, and ambassador of Bar Pisellino's culture and values.

Bar Pisellino is a high-volume operation, and the ability to remain composed, organized, and hospitality-focused during busy services is essential. Success in this role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.

• Lead, mentor, and support front-of-house staff, including servers, bartenders, baristas, and support staff

• Foster a positive, respectful, and high-performance team culture

• Assist with onboarding and training new team members

• Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure growth and development

• Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, and exceptional hospitality

• Promote teamwork and collaboration across all departments

• Maintain a strong and visible presence on the floor throughout service

• Ensure every guest receives warm, attentive, and thoughtful hospitality

• Address guest concerns professionally and proactively

• Build relationships with regular guests and cultivate a welcoming environment

• Support reservation management, guest flow, and special requests

• Uphold Bar Pisellino's standards of service and hospitality at all times

• Oversee daily front-of-house operations and service execution

• Ensure staff adherence to established service standards and SOPs

• Monitor dining room, bar, and café operations to maintain efficiency and organization

• Assist with scheduling, shift management, and labor oversight

• Coordinate closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout the space

• Serve as a key communication link between ownership, management, and staff

• Communicate effectively and professionally with team members and guests

• Assist with administrative duties, including reports, shift notes, and operational follow-up

• Ensure management directives and operational priorities are executed consistently

• Address performance concerns promptly and constructively

• 3–5 years of management or supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant, café, or bar environment

• Strong passion for hospitality and guest service

• Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced service environments

• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure

• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to excellence

• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Knowledge of Italian food, beverage, and hospitality culture is preferred
