Floor Manager

We are looking to round out our team of highly motivated professionals with a Floor Manager responsible for closing shifts on FRIDAYS, SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS. Must be comfortable working until 4-5am on weekend nights. High volume floor managing experience is REQUIRED. We have been open in our new location for 3 years, and we are off to a great start with plenty of room for growth. Must be available to work late nights and weekends, but have a flexible schedule that can adapt to the changing needs of the business. 

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for an energetic individual that leads with integrity, professionalism & tact, who can handle all of the amazing & occasionally chaotic events associated with a high volume establishment.

Specific Duties & Core Competencies Include:

• Communicate effectively with team members, management & ownership
• Ability to complete “end-of-night” tasks: close the business efficiently and accurately, including cash handling, following checklists and walkthroughs
• Set up parties and reservations, troubleshoot and problem solve issues, ensure staff follows safe alcohol service.
• Crowd control, line management, guest relations.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the premises with a keen attention for detail
• Maintain a safe & harassment free environment for guests and staff
• Effectively lead a team during both peak business hours and slower business hours. Must be self-motivated to complete tasks.
• Monitor labor costs and effectively adjust staffing
• Understand the value of quality treatment for the bar’s regular clientele while also nurturing a welcoming & fun environment for new guests
• Remain composed during otherwise compromised scenarios
• Maintain a high level of emotional intelligence to approach each matter sensitively and pragmatically 

Minimal Requirements:

- Bartending experience needed

- Two years working in a NYC fast-paced, high-volume eating & drinking establishment

- Have night, weekend & holiday availability

- Ability to navigate Microsoft Office (Excel), Google & Restaurant Point-Of-Sale platforms

- Have a firm understanding of the impact of appropriate ambiance

- DOH Food Handlers Certified

- Up-To-Date NYC Harassment Free Certificate

-HIGH VOLUME, CROWD CONTROL, LINE MANAGEMENT experience is a BIG PLUS

-MUST BE OPEN TO FEEDBACK - this is key as we run a tight ship here and already have processes and procedures in place; we are looking for an individual who does not take things personally, has the skill set and knowledge to bring to the table to help us improve, but at the same time is open to learning new ways of doing things and can receive constructive criticism with an open mind and non-defensive attitude.
