About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Technical Specialist to serve as a senior technical authority and thought leader in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving technologies. This role offers significant technical autonomy and the opportunity to shape next-generation safety-critical vehicle systems.

This position is part of ZF’s ADAS & HPC business, which is entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation within the advanced automotive technology space. The business unit is planned for divestiture, creating a unique opportunity to help shape the future of next-generation driver assistance and high-performance computing technologies.

What you can look forward to as the Senior Technical Specialist:

• Defining technical strategy, driving architectural decisions, and solving the most complex challenges in perception, sensor fusion, localization, and decision-making systems.
• Working at the intersection of classical and modern techniques — combining deep expertise in probabilistic robotics, state estimation, and control theory with modern C++ implementation.
• Providing strategic guidance on supplier technology selection and integration. 

Your Profile as Senior Technical Specialist:

• Bachelors of Science (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field. 
• 10+ years experience developing driver assistance systems or related technologies.
• 10+ years experience deploying safety critical embedded systems
• 8+ years experience in developing modern object oriented C++ applications (C++14 or later).
• Prior experience managing intellectual property and invention disclosures.
• Strong technical leadership and project management skills
