Material Handler- 1st Shift

Shipping Receiving Department PositionThis position requires a self-motivated, reliable employee to join our Shipping Receiving Department. This position reports to the production supervisor, supporting the company's production facility with the responsibilities that are included below.Primary Responsibilities/Essential FunctionsReceives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations.Verify, identify and inspect incoming materials, supplies, and finished goods from operations to ensure that specifications are met, including documentation accuracy.Load materials and products into inventory system; monitors First In – First Out inventory transactions.Confirms shipping details or special instructions; expedites shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule.Responsible for quality control – no product damagedAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentTransports and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and skids) with forklift.Comply with GMP, personal hygiene, HACCP and other quality and safety programs.Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.Performs other related duties as assignedRequired Skills and Qualifications· Excellent verbal communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail.· Good math skills required· Flexibility to work on a variety of tasks as needed with efficient time management skills.· Physical requirements include lifting, carrying and climbing up to 60 lbs. consistently.· Other requirements are bending, standing, walking, sitting and climbing frequently.· Ability to work independently or with a team6:00 am - 2:00 pm
