Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, schedule set by management, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $38.53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care to ICU patients, including ADLs, vital signs, and blood glucose monitoring
• Assist with EKGs, straight catheter insertions, and IV removals as needed
• Maintain clean, stocked patient rooms, and prepare rooms for admissions and discharges
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
• Float within critical care units to support the team as needed

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in Washington or a compact state
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• COVID vaccine required
• Minimum of 2 years of CNA experience, with previous ICU or PCU experience highly preferred
• Ability to float to other critical care units
• EPIC charting experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in taking vital signs, blood glucose checks, and EKGs
• Excellent communication and empathy for patients and families
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ICU environment
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety protocols
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system
