Aircraft Avionics Alternate Lead

The Alternate Lead Avionics Technician will assist the Lead Avionics Technician for all functions assigned to provide airworthiness of the aircraft upon completion of maintenance at the facility. Essential duties and responsibilities include establishing work priorities to assist the lead, ensuring work performed adheres to high quality standards, and ensuring all equipment is properly used and adequate safeguards are in place to protect aircraft and equipment. All other duties as assigned.

Primary requirements include being at least 18 years of age, having a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), over 2+ years of aviation avionics experience, FAA Airframe certification or hold a Repairman Certificate, and FCC Certificate, or a Radio Repairman Operator Certificate. Knowledge of FAA regulations including 14 CFR, proven leadership abilities, strong judgment and decision-making skills, time management skills, and fluency in English (speech, reading, writing).
Preferred requirements include a powerplant license (A&P) and a valid driver's license.

Training includes in-person, computer based training, and on-the-job training.
Physical demands and work environment include constantly lifting 10 lbs., standing, walking, wrist flexion and extension, environmental weather conditions; frequently lifting ?40 lbs., push/pull <20 lbs., climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling for extended periods, working in confined spaces, working above chest-level, overhead, and away from body for extended periods, bending, twisting of torso, twisting and/or pressure with wrist/hands, fine finger usage, moderate vibrations up to 2 hrs. to high vibrations up to 30 mins., vision with/without correction; near <20", far >20', and basic depth perception (shapes); occasionally lifting and/or carry ?50 lbs., sitting, basic color vision, operation of motorized or electrical equipment, push/pull <50 lbs., work in wet conditions.
Screening requirements include clearing a DOT drug screen, physical, background check, 3-year employment verification, 2-year DOT verification, and education verification. These screening requirements must clear prior to the start date. Candidate must possess U.S. work authorization and pass E-Verify within 3 business days of start date. Must qualify for a Will Rogers World Airport badge within 30 days from start date.
