Compounding Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly professional, detail-oriented, and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our compounding team. This position requires strict adherence to USP standards , exceptional accuracy in nonsterile compounding, and strong competency in inventory oversight. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong work ethic, the ability to learn new procedures rapidly, and the capacity to perform efficiently in a structured, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare nonsterile compounded medications—including creams, ointments, capsules, suspensions, and solutions in accordance with established formulations, standard operating procedures, and USP requirements. Perform precise measurements, calculations, weighing, and mixing of ingredients while maintaining efficiency and strict attention to detail. Complete all documentation thoroughly and accurately in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Maintain a clean, orderly, and compliant compounding environment with consistent adherence to safety, hygiene, and contamination-control protocols. Quickly and effectively learn new compounding techniques, equipment, and workflow procedures as needed. Inventory & Materials Management: Maintain accurate oversight of ingredient and supply inventories to ensure uninterrupted operations within the compounding department. Receive, inspect, and properly label raw materials in alignment with company and regulatory requirements. Monitor and document lot numbers, beyond-use dates (BUDs), and storage conditions for all compounding materials. Support routine inventory audits and cycle counts, ensuring all records remain precise, complete, and up to date. Dispose of expired materials and manage waste in accordance with applicable guidelines. Quality, Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all pharmacy policies, SOPs, and applicable state and federal regulations governing compounding practices. Assist with quality assurance activities, including reviewing logs, verifying preparations, and reporting deviations or concerns.
