Responsibilities
- Provide unit-based leadership, supervising nursing and ancillary personnel in collaboration with the Nurse Manager and Director.
- Coordinate and revise care plans with the health care team, patients, and families to ensure individualized, evidence-based care.
- Direct and monitor nursing activities across the unit to maintain safe, high-quality patient care; participate in direct patient care as needed.
- Conduct rounds to assess patient care needs, introduce yourself to patients and families, and solicit feedback on nursing services.
- Work to improve patient experience and satisfaction, partnering with leadership to address quality and service issues as they arise.
- Utilize the electronic medical record (EPIC) for order entry, documentation, and care coordination to support seamless transitions across the continuum of care.

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent; Master’s Degree preferred; supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills required.
- Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice (California) required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification required.
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field; prior supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory capabilities.
- Other: Ability to work in a 3x12-hour day shift schedule on a travel assignment; EPIC experience is preferred but not strictly required.
