Job Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides specialized nursing care to neonatal patients, ensuring their medical needs are met with clinical expertise and compassion. They collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality care and support families through discharge planning and education.

Responsibilities:

• Assess neonatal patients' conditions and develop individualized care plans based on the nursing process.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and family members to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform necessary treatments specific to neonatal care.
• Document patient progress accurately and update care plans accordingly.
• Educate and support families about neonatal health, care procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to nursing staff based on their competencies and scope of practice.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Demonstrate competency in neonatal care, including neonatal resuscitation (NRP certification).
• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Have at least 1 year of experience in acute neonatal or perinatal care.
• Maintain certifications such as BLS, and ACLS at the time of hire; NRP preferred.
• Show ability to effectively communicate with families and healthcare team members.
