Job Responsibilities
- Craft Individualized Treatment Plans: Assess patients' requirements and create tailored therapy strategies to help them reach their functional aspirations
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based methods to improve patients' motor abilities, cognitive functions, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Professionals: Partner closely with other OTs, PTs, STs, medical staff, and nurses to deliver holistic, comprehensive care
- Empower Patients and Families: Educate patients and caregivers on therapy methods to support continuous development at home
- Track and Document Progress: Monitor and assess clinical outcomes, adjusting treatments as necessary to ensure patients remain on track
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Continuing education or post-graduate certifications are encouraged and supported
- Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
- Certification from the NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) is mandatory
- A genuine passion for assisting individuals in achieving their highest level of independence
- Strong, empathetic communication skills with patients and colleagues alike
- Creative problem-solving abilities and adaptability to meet diverse needs
- Confidence in working independently while also contributing to a close-knit interdisciplinary team
