Senior Manager, Product Management

Shutterfly is seeking a Senior Manager of Product Management to lead the strategy and execution for our product personalization and photo upload experiences across web and mobile apps. These capabilities sit at the heart of the Shutterfly platform—powering how millions of customers upload, organize, and transform their memories into meaningful products. You will define the future of Shutterfly’s creation and personalization experience, building intuitive tools that make it effortless for customers to upload photos, manage their memories, and design personalized products at scale. You will work at the intersection of customer experience, data, and platform capabilities, driving innovation across one of the most critical parts of the customer journey. In this role, you will partner closely with Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Business stakeholders to define product strategy, deliver scalable platforms, and optimize experiences through experimentation and data-driven insights. Success requires a combination of strong product leadership, technical depth, analytical rigor, and customer obsession. What You'll Do Here: Own the Personalization and Photo Platform Lead the product strategy and roadmap for photo upload, photo management, and product personalization capabilities across Shutterfly’s web and mobile platforms. Build intuitive, scalable tools that enable customers to seamlessly upload, organize, and personalize products with their photos. Drive Data-Informed Product Innovation Define measurement frameworks and KPIs that evaluate product performance across the personalization and creation experience. Use analytics, experimentation, and customer insights to identify friction points and drive improvements in engagement, creation success rates, and product conversion. Partner with analytics and data science teams to design experiments and uncover opportunities for optimization. Lead Cross-Functional Product Development Work closely with Engineering, UX, Analytics, and Business teams to design and deliver scalable product capabilities. Drive prioritization across platform improvements, customer experience enhancements, and new personalization features. Translate complex technical capabilities into intuitive customer-facing experiences. Scale the Creation Experience Build platform capabilities that support high-volume photo ingestion, organization, and personalization workflows across millions of users. Ensure personalization tools are powerful yet simple, enabling both quick creation and advanced customization. Stay informed on industry trends in AI-powered personalization, photo management, and creative tooling. Mentor and Grow Product Talent Lead and mentor product managers responsible for personalization and creation capabilities. Foster a product culture grounded in customer obsession, experimentation, and measurable outcomes. Drive cross-functional initiatives that enable Shutterfly’s next phase of growth. The Skills You'll Bring: 8+ years of product management experience building consumer-facing digital products. Demonstrated success delivering complex product platforms or creation tools used by large customer bases. Experience working closely with engineering teams to build scalable, highly available systems. Strong analytical mindset with experience leveraging experimentation, data analysis, and customer insights to guide product decisions. Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders including Engineering, UX, Analytics, and Business teams. Proven ability to translate customer needs and technical constraints into clear product strategies and roadmaps. Preferred Qualifications: Experience building consumer creation tools, media platforms, or photo/video workflows. Background in e-commerce, digital media platforms, or consumer marketplaces. Experience with experimentation platforms, analytics tools, and customer journey optimization. The compensation package for this role is based on multiple factors, such as job level, responsibilities, location, and candidate experience. The base pay ranges included below are specific to the locations listed, and may not be applicable to other locations. California : [$147,750-208,500] Connecticut and New York: [$147,750-191,000] Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota and Washington: [$147,750-176,750] Nevada: [$139,000-191,000] Maryland and New Jersey: [$159,500-191,000] Hawaii : [$139,000-166,250] This position may be eligible for a bonus incentive, health benefits, a 401K program, and other employee perks.
