THERAPIST (LICENSED)

Responsibilities Meridell Achievement Center is a 134-bed, seclusion-free psychiatric residential treatment facility located northwest of Austin. Our 60-acre campus features mature oaks, rolling hills, and outdoor paths. We have 7 living units for different gender, age, and developmental needs, with a swimming pool, gymnasium, sports court, and playing fields. We provide 24-hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 10-17 with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs to improve behavior, emotional regulation, and social functioning. As a Therapist at Meridell Achievement Center, you will be part of a compassionate treatment team dedicated to providing exceptional care to children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, and neurobehavioral challenges. You will develop and implement individualized therapeutic plans, work closely with patients and families to achieve outcomes. Hours are 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday-through-Friday. Experience: Two years post-licensure experience or advanced training in EMDR, CBT, or DBT. One year of clinical experience in a residential treatment setting. One year of group facilitation experience. Knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and mental illness preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current State of Texas license as a PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMSW, LMFT-A, or LPC-A, obtained prior to hire or transfer. Current driver license. Knowledge and Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills. Maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information. Demonstrate effective organization.
