We are seeking a Restaurant Cook to join our dedicated kitchen staff! You will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in our professional kitchen.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare all served food
• Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
• Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions
• Follow standard recipes and special diet orders 
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in cooking, culinary arts, or other related fields
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well in teams

Opening in 2009, and quickly becoming a neighborhood institution, Blue Dog Beer Tavern was born out of a love of dogs, the best rotating beer, and classic American cuisine. The area was itching for a good burger joint with down-home vibes, so with labors of love, the early 1940s house-turned-office was transformed into our bustling pub-style restaurant. We strive to create a safe, casual, and authentic “tavern/ public house” experience every day.

We will always try to make your day a little bit better, enhance your knowledge on beer, hopefully provide some laughs, and encourage you to step outside your comfort zone and try something new, be it food or drink!

We love dogs just as much as we love you, so please feel free to bring your fur babies. (We also love to make additions to our growing collection of mini polaroid's of the dogs that come in, so let us know if you want your babies to become a permanent part of our little establishment)!
