Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting. This role requires the nurse to be proficient in emergency care and capable of making quick decisions in critical situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Assess patient conditions and monitor vital signs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
• Participate in trauma and emergency response operations
• Train and supervise junior staff and ED technicians
• Document patient information and care in electronic medical records (Epic)

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have an active Alaska RN license at the time of submission
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, ENPC certifications required
• Prior Emergency Department (ED) experience is mandatory
• Preferred experience in stroke, STEMI, trauma, and pediatrics
