Diesel Technician – Jacksonville, FL Vaco is hiring for a direct hire opportunity. Shift: Monday – Friday 2PM-10PM Purpose of role: Company truck and trailer maintenance and preventative maintenance. Overview: Complete knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics and diagnostic tools. All major engine manufacturer component overhaul and repair; electrical and electronic systems diagnostics and diagnostic tools; brakes and braking systems; transmissions and driveline; hydraulics and power lift systems; ability to diagnose and repair all classes of heavy‑duty trucks/trailers bumper to bumper without supervision. Required Skills/Certifications: Required technician tool set. Class A or C CDL license required. Nice to have: all 7 ASE Master Technician certifications (T-2 through T-8). ASE Master Technician Certifications: T1 – Gasoline Engines T2 – Diesel Engines T3 – Drive Train T4 – Brakes T5 – Suspension & Steering T6 – Electrical/Electronic Systems T7 – Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) T8 – Preventive Maintenance Inspection Additional Qualifications: Heavy lifting required (minimum 45 lbs). Strong communication. Reliability. ASE & other certifications are great.
