Position Title: Patient Care Coordinator

Location: 250 Patchogue-Yaphank Rd, Unit 12, East Patchogue, NY 11772

Employment Type: Full-Time

Evolve Psychiatry is seeking a compassionate, organized, and service-oriented Patient Care Coordinator (Receptionist) to join our team in our Massapequa office. As the first point of contact for patients, this individual plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, professional, and supportive environment while ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the front office.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, enjoys helping others, thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and is committed to providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining patient confidentiality.

• Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Check patients in and out for appointments.
• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
• Schedule new patient consultations, followup appointments, and provider transfers.
• Coordinate provider schedules and maximize appointment availability.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Collect copays and other patient payments in accordance with office procedures.
• Assist patients with completing intake paperwork and required documentation.
• Monitor provider schedules for cancellations and assist with filling open appointment slots.
• Send appointment reminders and communicate scheduling updates.
• Assist patients with accessing telehealth appointments when necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient information within the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Route clinical questions, refill requests, and patient concerns to the appropriate clinical staff.
• Communicate effectively with providers, therapists, billing, and administrative departments.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception and waiting areas.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict patient confidentiality.
• Provide exceptional customer service to every patient interaction.
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• 12 years experience in a medical reception, patient care corrdinator, or healthcare administrative role
• Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work in a fastpaced medical office
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, or another medical speciality
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMRs), preferably eClinicalWorks
• Experience collecting patient payments
• Experience scheduling for multiple healthcare providers
