President

The client seeks a dynamic president to build upon a strong foundation, foster alignment across a complex environment, and guide the institution with clarity and care. This leader will bring a collaborative, bridge-building approach, a spirit of curiosity and continuous learning, a passion for higher education, and a deep respect for the institution’s mission of educating every student for success in work and life through excellence in engaged teaching, service, and scholarship. The client’s next president is expected to build on prior momentum while articulating a clear and distinctive vision for the future that reflects the institution’s evolving identity, strengthens institutional trust, and responds to a rapidly changing higher education landscape. The role will support an access-focused model that invites students to come as they are and leave prepared to make a difference in the wider community, with an emphasis on student success across backgrounds. Required qualifications include a master’s degree from an accredited institution and progressive senior leadership experience in higher education or a comparably complex organization. The role also calls for a strong understanding of institutional governance, higher education in the public context, and stakeholder engagement, with a doctoral degree preferred. In addition, the president will be expected to uphold the institution’s commitment to community engagement and partnership-driven impact.
