Account Manager For Flanders Region
VELUX Belgium is part of the Danish group VKR Holding and enjoys international recognition as a market leader in roof windows, accessories, and innovative daylight solutions. From our Belgian office in Waver, we have been supporting the Belgian market for over 40 years, with a strong focus on quality, sustainability, and customer orientation.
To strengthen our sales team, we are looking for a driven Account Manager for the Flanders region.
Your Role
- After an extensive technical and commercial product training, you will be responsible for a customer portfolio within the construction materials trade, wholesale, and DIY segment.
- You maintain and develop sustainable commercial relationships with existing customers, primarily small to medium-sized players within retail and wholesale.
- You visit customers regularly, listen to their needs, and proactively respond to commercial opportunities.
- You provide product advice and technical support on the VELUX product range, including roof windows, accessories, and innovative daylight solutions.
- You propose new products, actions, and solutions and help your customers further develop their sales.
- You detect new market opportunities, build new collaborations, and ensure VELUX remains strongly represented throughout Flanders.
- You work closely with internal teams, including Inside Sales Support, marketing, customer service, and aftersales.
- You work independently and methodically from your region and maintain regular contact with your colleagues and the office in Waver.
- You participate, when relevant, in technical-commercial events and professional construction fairs.
- You report to the National Sales Manager Distribution and DIY of VELUX Belgium.
Your Profile
- You hold a bachelor's degree, preferably in a business-economic direction such as economics, marketing, or sales, or you are equally qualified through experience.
- You have 2 to 5 years of experience in a commercial field, ideally within a B2B environment.
- You have experience with construction material traders and good knowledge of construction materials, such as roofing, insulation materials, or other building-related products.
- Commercial experience within the DIY sector is a plus.
- You are commercially oriented, customer-focused, and strong in building long-term relationships.
- You know how to create trust, think along with your customers, and convince in a natural way.
- You work independently, organized, and results-oriented.
- You are flexible, proactive, and comfortable in a role where you are often on the road throughout Flanders.
- You speak fluent Dutch and have good knowledge of French. Knowledge of English is a plus.
