Registered Nurse, NICU

Location and Schedule Location: Baptist Health Lexington. Schedule: Full‑time, 3rd Shift (Nights). Unit: 5A NICU is a 32‑bed private room NICU caring for high‑risk neonates from 28 weeks to full‑term. Job Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers compassionate, evidence‑based care designed to support healing and wellness. In this role, you’ll coordinate, ensure, and provide direct patient care while creating an environment rooted in dignity, respect, and empathy. You will use your clinical expertise and critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for patients across the lifespan. Responsibilities Conduct nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges Provide patient and family‑centered education Coordinate care and develop individualized treatment plans Requirements Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college/university or an associate degree with a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience required. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree and less than ten years’ experience, an associate degree in nursing will be acceptable for initial hire with the understanding that the individual must be enrolled within 12 months in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
