The Assistant Controller supports the Controller in managing accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. This role focuses on execution, accuracy, and maintaining efficient financial processes.

This is a Hybrid position; applicants must reside in or near Sterling, VA.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing financial statements and reports

Support month-end and year-end close processes

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts

Review financial transactions for accuracy

Assist with internal and external audits

Help enforce accounting policies and compliance standards

Support budgeting and forecasting activities

Improve accounting workflows and internal controls

Supervise or assist with junior accounting staff

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

CPA (or progress toward certification) preferred
3–7+ years of accounting experience
