Description The Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)/Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) Section within the Kentucky Department for Public Health protects and promotes the health of Kentuckians in the areas of HIV/AIDS services, prevention and surveillance. This work is interesting and critical to keeping Kentuckians healthy and ending the HIV epidemic. If you are a person who loves contributing to the health of populations, this is the job for you. This is a federally funded time limited (FFTL) position. This means it is a position that is paid entirely as the result of a federal grant. The duration of employment shall not exceed the life of the federal grant that funds the position. An employee appointed to an FFTL position is required to meet the minimum requirements for the classification. Further, an employee appointed to an FFTL position is designated as an unclassified (non- merit) employee. An FFTL employee is eligible to receive benefits at the same level as a classified (merit) employee in a permanent position. • Executes complex administrative functions for Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) leadership within the HIV/AIDS Section.
• Evaluates program process and makes recommendations for improvement.
• Interprets federal and state policies and guidelines.
• Coordinates meetings and communicates policy changes to stakeholders.
• Acts as liaison between HIV Services and HRSA EHE programs.
• Compiles, writes and submits complex reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.
