Staff Accountant - 11930 (Boca Raton)

Job Summary

The Staff Accountant will support general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, financial reporting, and audit activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review general ledger accruals and journal entries
• Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare entries for cash transactions
• Maintain recurring and prepaid accounting entries
• Assist with month-end close
• Assist with monthly financial statement preparation
• Provide documentation and support for audits
• Research and resolve account discrepancies
• Follow accounting policies, procedures, and GAAP
• Provide backup support to other accounting team members
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 1-3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
• Understanding of debits, credits, general ledger accounting, and reconciliations
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
