Education Coordinator, EVS

Scope of Position The Education Coordinator for Environmental Services (EVS) will provide education, training direction development for continuous improvement of the standard EVS operating model within the facility. The Education Coordinator will demonstrate leadership in providing an optimal learning environment for all staff while emphasizing safety, service, and value. The Education Coordinator is accountable for the coordination/development and provision of training materials and education for staff, including orientation and ongoing training under the direction of the Education Manager Position Summary The Education Coordinator assists the Education Manager for EVS with onboarding, training and education of all environmental services staff, and managers. The Education Coordinator will help guide, design, develop, evaluate, and implement new innovative education materials. The position is responsible for assisting with the coordination of staff training, training materials, development, staff retention, and patient experience, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) as well as Joint Commission regulations and other regulatory compliance training. Work with team to help develop EVS policies and procedures and leads and/or contributes to department quality initiatives and programs. The EVS Education Coordinator may evaluate the performance standards of environmental service’s staff and promote and ongoing collaboration with other patient care departments and areas that relate directly or indirectly to patient care operations and services. Minimum Qualifications For Hire : Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Minimum of two years progressive experience in the housekeeping/Environmental services (EVS) field or educator experience. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
