Truck Driver Recruiter

Join EMS ON TIME INC. in an in-person role based in Carol Stream, IL , supporting the recruiting process that helps qualified CDL Class A drivers find the right fit. The Truck Driver Recruiter position offers paid time off , relocation assistance , and a competitive compensation structure with potential performance-based recruiting incentives. In this role, you will manage driver applicants from first contact through qualification and onboarding, helping set expectations early to support strong driver retention . Starting pay is $17 per hour , with $200 per driver after the three week hire date . Total pay ranges from $35,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year , based on experience. What you’ll do Recruit qualified CDL Class A Local and OTR drivers Post and manage driver advertisements on Indeed and other recruiting platforms Reach out to new applicants quickly using phone, text, and email Conduct initial driver interviews and perform pre-screening Verify basic qualifications, including CDL experience, driving history, and employment history Explain routes, home-time expectations, compensation, equipment, and job requirements Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective driversKeep an organized recruiting pipeline, including recruiting activity and applicant progress Coordinate with management and safety personnel during qualification and onboarding Improve retention by setting clear expectations prior to hire Develop new strategies to generate qualified driver leads What you bring Trucking or transportation recruiting experience preferred Knowledge of CDL Class A Local and OTR driver recruiting strongly preferred Strong phone and communication skills Comfort working through a high volume of recruiting calls and follow-ups Ability to build rapport with professional truck drivers Strong organization skills to manage multiple applicants at once Familiarity with Indeed and other driver recruiting platforms is a plus Basic understanding of DOT/FMCSA driver qualification requirements is a plus Reliable, professional, and results-oriented approach Experience recruiting CDL Class A drivers is highly desirable Compensation and benefits Paid time off Relocation assistance Competitive compensation based on experience Pay may include salary or hourly pay plus performance-based recruiting incentives Starting pay: $17 per hour $200 per driver after the three week hire date Total pay: $35,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year #J-18808-Ljbffr
