Customer Service Representative

Job Description

A local company is seeking a Customer Service Representative who will be responsible for delivering excellence in sales and service by effectively communicating with current and prospective customers. Work hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Job Duties:

• Take care of customer account management including order processing, shipment scheduling, payment and freight terms, lead times, compliance documents, portals, pricing, and order accuracy
• Effectively communicate, via telephone, email and fax, order and stock information to customers
• Work with Sales Reps to maintain accounts and relationships
• Monitor reports, addresses, and potential order issues, investigate shipment issues, and provide updated schedule and pricing information
• Issue return goods authorizations and submit credit requests when necessary
• Maintain active phone availability and provide basic troubleshooting support
• Mail literature to customers and sales reps, confers with Lead Customer Care Representative, and rotate in other positions when necessary
• Perform related assignments as required

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• M ust have a High School Diploma or GED; Some college is helpful
• Must have 1 to 2 years previous Customer Service experience
• Microsoft Office skills with accurate data entry and email skills are needed
• Must have excellent organizational and communication skills
• M ust have an articulate, professional, and upbeat phone voice

Only those candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered. Consumer good experience would be a plus.
