Job Description

The Manufacturing Support Coordinator supports daily production by managing materials throughout the manufacturing process. This role focuses on receiving, staging, picking, replenishing, and delivering materials to production areas while maintaining accurate inventory records and following established procedures. The coordinator ensures materials are handled safely and efficiently, supports compliance with quality and safety standards, and contributes to a well-organized, reliable, and cross-trained team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, staging, picking, replenishment, and point-of-use delivery activities to support daily production schedules and work orders.
• Complete accurate and timely ERP and WMS transactions for all material movements, labeling, and inventory updates using available team resources and tools.
• Stage, move, and replenish materials to production areas while following FIFO (First In, First Out), lot control, and traceability requirements.
• Safeguard materials against loss, misplacement, or delay and promptly escalate any discrepancies or missing materials.
• Maintain organized staging, storage, and work areas and support housekeeping, 5S, and visual management standards.
• Use approved material handling equipment, including carts and pallet jacks, safely and in accordance with established procedures.
• Adhere to all safety, quality, and process documentation requirements while supporting compliant material handling practices.
• Support inventory counts, reconciliation activities, and basic cycle count tasks as assigned.
• Identify potential process issues, report findings promptly, and participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.
• Complete required training and contribute to a dependable, flexible, cross-trained team environment that supports changing business needs.

Essential Skills

• Basic understanding of material staging, FIFO, lot control, and transaction accuracy in support of daily production schedules.
• Ability to use RF scanners with appropriate training.
• Ability to work with ERP and WMS systems to perform material and inventory transactions.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks or similar material handling tools safely after training.
• Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environments and expectations.
• Experience with inventory handling and data entry in a production or warehouse setting.
• Ability to follow written procedures, process documentation, and quality requirements.
• Capability to walk, stand, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs on a continuous basis.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and completing transactions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Exposure to GMP environments and batch record processes.
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for inventory and material management.
• Experience in biologics, pharmaceutical, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Comfort working with GMOs or in facilities that manufacture pharmaceutical drugs for cancer or autoimmune disease treatment.
• Interest in participating in continuous improvement and troubleshooting activities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-trained, flexible team.

Work Environment

This position operates on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule (2-2-3) from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., providing structured and predictable working hours. You will work primarily in a warehouse environment that supports a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) manufacturing site. The role involves frequent walking, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 25 lbs on a continuous basis. The facility follows strict GMP protocols, which include no fake nails, no nail extensions, no nail polish, and no jewelry. You will be required to wear full gowning—such as gown, gloves, and shoe covers—for almost every aspect of the role to maintain cleanliness and compliance. Work is supported by RF scanners, ERP/WMS systems, and material handling tools such as pallet jacks and carts, in an environment that emphasizes organization, safety, and adherence to defined procedures.

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
