Salary: $18

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide 1:1 support to an individual with disabilities in a structured day program setting. This role requires continuous, close supervision, particularly during meals and behavioral support situations. The DSP will play a critical role in enhancing the participants quality of life by supporting daily activities, promoting independence where appropriate, and ensuring safety, dignity, and well-being at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous 1:1 supervision to ensure participant safety and well-being throughout the program day.
• Provide close, attentive supervision during meals, following individualized dining protocols and monitoring for safety concerns.
• Implement individualized care and behavior support plans based on the participants needs and preferences.
• Support participation in on-site activities, including life skills development, structured programming, and social engagement.
• Maintain accurate documentation of participant progress, behaviors, and any changes in health status.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect participant confidentiality and privacy.
• Provide physical assistance as needed, including support with mobility and personal care.
• Respond appropriately to behavioral or medical situations and follow all safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and support staff to ensure consistent and effective care.
• Participate in required training, including CPR, first aid, and ongoing professional development.

Experience

• 2-3 years experience in caregiving, day programs, or supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Experience working with individuals requiring high levels of supervision or behavioral support is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of safe meal supervision or feeding support is a plus.
• Understanding of individualized care plans and ability to follow them consistently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to remain attentive for extended periods.
• A commitment to providing compassionate, respectful, and person-centered support is required.

Shift

• Monday - Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm
