Summary/Objective:

The Field Safety Manager is responsible for leading and enforcing safety programs across active construction projects. This role works directly in the field with crews, supervisors, and project superintendents to ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and client safety requirements. The Field Safety Manager serves as a key resource for hazard identification, incident prevention, training, and continuous improvement of safety culture, with the ability to effectively communicate in both English and Spanish.

·       Monitor, and enforce company safety policies and procedures across all job sites

·       Maintain an active field presence to observe work activities, identify hazards, and coach employees on safe work practices

·       Conduct field safety audits, inspections, and review job hazard analyses to ensure regulatory and company compliance

·       Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of safety documentation within HCSS Safety

·       Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and property damage; document findings and issue disciplinary action as determined by the Safety Director or other senior management

·       Collaborate with superintendents, and foremen to integrate safety into daily operations and planning

·       Maintain organized and up-to-date safety records and reports

Qualifications

·       Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written)

·       OSHA 30 (required)

·       First Aid/CPR/AED training from American Red Cross or AHA (must be current and maintained)

·       3–5 years of construction experience, preferably in heavy civil, utilities, or underground construction

·       Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety best practices

·       Experience with field audits, incident investigations, and safety training

·       Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with field crews and management

·       Proficient with basic computer applications and reporting tools

·       Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel between job sites

Preferred Certifications

·       Trenching Excavation Competent Person Training

·       First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Certificate from American Red Cross or AHA.

·       Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and OSHA 1926 Subpart K Distribution
