ChristianaCare is hiring a Customer Service Representative III for our Ophthalmology Department in Wilmington, DE. At ChristianaCare, our Ophthalmology team provides comprehensive, high-quality eye care across Delaware, delivering everything from routine exams to advanced surgical treatments. Our fellowship-trained, board-certified specialists use the latest technology and a personalized approach to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, corneal disorders, and other complex ocular conditions—ensuring each patient receives tailored care and the best possible outcomes. As a Customer Service Representative III, you would serve as the first point of contact for patients, delivering exceptional customer service while managing incoming calls, scheduling appointments, addressing inquiries, and documenting interactions. Duties / Responsibilities Provide front-line patient support by answering calls, assisting with scheduling and inquiries, and delivering compassionate customer service. This role includes verifying patient and insurance information, documenting interactions in the EMR, coordinating with clinical staff, and supporting daily operations while maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
