Medical Malpractice Paralegal

Job Description

Seeking an experienced litigation paralegal to join my client's team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a background supporting attorneys in high-stakes, complex cases involving medical malpractice defense.

Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including investigation, discovery, trial preparation, and trial.
  
  
• Draft, review, and organize pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and medical record summaries.
  
  
• Manage large volumes of documents and evidence, including e-discovery platforms.
  
  
• Coordinate with experts, clients, and witnesses in preparation for depositions, mediations, and trial.
  
  

• Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and case files with strong attention to detail.
  
  
• Support attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibit lists, witness preparation, and trial binders.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal with a focus on medical malpractice defense.
  
  
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules.
  
  
• Experience handling large, complex cases with extensive documentation and multiple parties.
  
  
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  
  
• Proficiency with litigation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  
  

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
