Client Accountant Manager for an Insurance Company in Williamsville, NY!

DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY

Pay: $45k-$65k/year plus commissions

Hours: 8am-5pm/M-F

Overview

The Client Account Manager (CAM) is a critical role within our sales-driven insurance agency, serving as the primary relationship manager for existing clients while actively pursuing growth opportunities. Operating under our EOS framework, the CAM works collaboratively with Producers and Client Care Coordinators to ensure exceptional client service while driving revenue growth through renewals, upselling, and referral-based new business opportunities.

Primary Objectives

• Drive revenue growth through exceptional client relationship management
• Work closely with producers on accounts to ensure all new business and renewals are properly placed, with completed paperwork and necessary follow-ups.
• Maintain high client retention rates through proactive account management
• Identify and capitalize on cross-selling and upselling opportunities
• Support new business acquisition through referrals and walk-in opportunities
• Ensure operational excellence through efficient collaboration with Client Care Coordinators (CCC's) and their lead
• Partner with the Client Care Coordinator Lead to ensure efficient processes, accuracy in execution, and a consistently high level of client service with the client care coordinator team.

Required Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty Insurance Broker License
• 2+ years of commercial & or personal lines insurance experience
• Strong knowledge of insurance products, coverages, and industry regulations
• Proficiency with Hawksoft, Agency Zoom, and various insurance carrier rating platforms preferred
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Sales-oriented mindset with proven track record of growing accounts
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
• Team player who can collaborate effectively across departments

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Growth

• View every client interaction as a sales opportunity, consistently seeking ways to strengthen the relationship and identify additional coverage needs
• Proactively identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing client accounts
• Convert walk-in prospects and referrals into new clients through needs assessment and solution presentation
• Partner with Producers to develop compelling proposals for new business opportunities, particularly for larger accounts
• Conduct thorough account reviews to identify coverage gaps and new sales opportunities
• Generate and nurture client referrals as a consistent source of new business
• Contribute insights to marketing initiatives based on client conversations and market knowledge
• Track and report on personal sales activities and results

Account Management and Retention

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building strong relationships and trust
• Conduct proactive account reviews to ensure client satisfaction and identify potential issues before renewal
• Analyze client risks and coverage needs, recommending appropriate solutions
• Function as a pre-underwriter during renewal preparation, analyzing risk factors and anticipating carrier responses
• Prepare and present renewal options to clients, highlighting value and addressing potential concerns
• Manage policy changes, endorsements, and cancellations efficiently
• Intervene promptly on service issues to ensure continued client satisfaction
• Maintain detailed documentation of all client interactions in Hawksoft

Operational Excellence

• Collaborate closely with Client Care Coordinators (CCCs) to ensure seamless client service
• Delegate appropriate administrative tasks to CCCs while maintaining oversight of account accuracy
• Ensure all client documentation is properly processed, signed, and stored in agency management systems
• Verify that all declarations pages, policy documents, and endorsements are properly attached and organized in Hawksoft
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information in all systems
• Ensure timely completion of all billing tasks by coordinating with the Finance department
• Adhere to agency workflows and procedures for policy processing, renewals, and new business
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
• Stay current with system updates and new automation features in Hawksoft and Agency Zoom
