Senior Financial Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Cost Analyst to join a growing manufacturing operation in Monroe, NC. This is a highly visible, hands-on position serving as the primary finance resource for the facility and partnering closely with plant leadership, operations, production, and maintenance. The ideal candidate has experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of inventory, absorption, variance analysis, and month-end close. This is a full-time, onsite position. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary finance and cost accounting resource for the manufacturing facility. Perform plant cost analysis, including absorption, labor, volume, spend, and overhead variances . Support and drive month-end close , including journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis. Monitor inventory transactions and reconcile inventory-related variances. Partner with plant and operations leadership to identify cost drivers and opportunities for improvement. Support forecasting, annual budgeting, and fixed and variable cost planning. Review labor and overhead rates for accuracy and improvement opportunities. Generate monthly financial reports and provide meaningful analysis to site and business leadership. Track and analyze cost-saving initiatives in partnership with operations. Calculate ROI and financial impacts for capital projects and major maintenance expenditures. Support cycle counts and lead the site's annual physical inventory process. Help improve financial processes, reporting, and controls across the operation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field . Cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment . Working knowledge of manufacturing cost concepts, including absorption and variance analysis . Experience with inventory accounting and/or inventory transactions. Experience supporting month-end close and journal entries . Experience working with an ERP system in a manufacturing environment; Oracle or SAP experience is a plus . Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and serve as a trusted financial partner to operations. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Preferred Experience: Power BI reporting or navigation experience.
