Senior Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Senior Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Commercial Litigation Group in New York, NY. This role involves representing educational institutions, students, and faculty in sensitive and high-profile matters, offering a unique opportunity to handle cases involving education law, civil rights, and complex litigation. Duties Conduct and defend Title IX investigations and hearings. Represent clients in student and faculty disciplinary proceedings. Handle matters involving academic misconduct and special education. Assist with civil rights, defamation, and related litigation. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other legal documents. Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies. Represent clients in administrative proceedings, mediations, and court proceedings. Work collaboratively with attorneys across multiple practice areas. Maintain strong client relationships while managing a diverse caseload. Requirements J.D. from an accredited law school. Admission to the New York Bar (or ability to obtain admission promptly). 5+ years of litigation experience. Senior Associate or Counsel-level experience with a strong litigation background. Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills. Ability to independently manage matters while collaborating with a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience with Title IX, education law, civil rights litigation, administrative proceedings, or complex litigation is preferred. Education J.D. from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission to the New York Bar (or ability to obtain admission promptly). Skills Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
