To date, the COB has approximately 150 faculty members of the highest caliber, skilled in the scholarship of research, teaching, and application of knowledge. The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management within the College of Business is a large, dynamic academic unit comprised of faculty engaged in teaching, scholarship, and service. The department serves more than 900 undergraduate majors, includes over 20 faculty members, and offers degree programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The department seeks to attract faculty of the highest caliber skilled in the scholarship of research, teaching and application of knowledge. Job Duties The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management, in the College of Business at East Carolina University, invites applications for a nine‑month, tenure‑track position in the area of Marketing at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor beginning August 2026. The position will have instructional responsibilities teaching courses relevant to digital marketing, data analytics, marketing research, or related areas. A standard teaching load is nine semester hours (three classes). Continuous quality research is required for tenure. Efforts at obtaining external funding are encouraged. Service to the university, community, and profession is expected, as well as any additional duties assigned by the department chair. Contingent upon availability of funds. Minimum Education/Experience This appointment requires a PhD in the teaching field or related discipline from an accredited business school that satisfies credentialing under SACS guidelines. The candidate must possess the qualifications necessary to be designated a professionally qualified faculty member in accordance with AACSB standards. Candidates with a newly conferred PhD at the time of initial appointment will hold the probationary rank of Assistant Professor. ABD candidates will be considered; they will initially be appointed with the probationary term rank of Assistant Professor and must have the terminal degree conferred prior to their first reappointment. License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation N/A Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education Teaching experience and a record of scholarly publications in digital marketing, marketing analytics, marketing research, or related areas.
