Intelligence Operations Specialist (Strategic Debriefer)

Summary This position is located at Departmental Offices, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence (TFI)-Office of Intelligence and Analysis(OIA). As a Intelligence Operations Specialist (Strategic Debriefer), you will serve as an overt Human Intelligence (HUMINT) strategic debriefer. Responsibilities Pursuant to 50 USC 3024 (v), and with concurrence and consultation with the Director of National Intelligence and the Director of the Office of Personnel Management, this position is being established in the excepted service as an element of the Intelligence Community within the Department of the Treasury. The following are the duties of this position at the GS-14. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. As a Intelligence Operations Specialist (Strategic Debriefer), you will: Manage on a day to day basis the development of Treasury's strategic debriefing and reporting program. Develop working relationships with key personnel throughout Treasury, other government agencies, and the private sector as appropriate to enhance reporting program and enable increased coordination. Advise senior level officials concerning Treasury's strategic debriefing and reporting program. Assist in the review, development, modification and implementation of policies and procedures related to the strategic debriefing and reporting. Demonstrate program planning, direction and/or evaluation responsibilities for the research or collection operations of a major geographical area, of a functional program with worldwide implications. Requirements Conditions of Employment Key Requirements: Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National. Must have, or be able to obtain and maintain, a Top Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI). Must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access. Must successfully complete a background investigation. All new hires will be required to comply with federal ethics laws. A review of financial or other interests may be conducted to determine if they create any real or apparent conflict of interests with official Treasury duties. Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Establishing and maintaining Intelligence Community (IC) contacts required for accomplishing an intelligence-based organizational mission; AND Delivering written and oral presentations to senior level officials. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Assisting in establishing and maintaining Intelligence Community (IC) contacts required for accomplishing an intelligence-based organizational mission; AND Delivering written and oral presentations. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service.. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
