Evening Custodian SweeperMaryville Elementary is looking for an evening custodian sweeper for the 2026–2027 school year. Individuals in the role perform routine custodial activities to maintain our school and adjacent grounds areas in a clean, orderly, and secure condition.Position details:Hours: 4.5 hours per dayContract Length: 182 days per year170 student instructional days4 holidays7 planning days1 extended dayContract Adjustments: Contracted days will be prorated based on the start dateEmployment Status: Full-time (eligible for benefits)Employment Type: 10-month employee on the classified pay scheduleQualifications & Requirements:Education:High school diploma or GEDDocumentation: Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.Compensation & Experience Credit2025-2026 Pay Scale:Starting Pay (Step 0): $14.84/hourExperienced Pay (Step 10): $16.89/hourWe value experience! New hires may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. The hired applicant is responsible for submitting the BCPS Verification of Experience Form to prior employers for completion and return to HR.Payroll Note: While this is an hourly position, the salary is distributed via a year-long contract over 10 months. You will receive 4 paychecks at the end of June.
