Senior Technical Designer

To support the development of Guild Wars 3, the contract Senior Technical Designer will collaborate with design leadership and engineers, prototype gameplay ideas, and create detailed technical plans while working remotely. Key responsibilities Collaborate with design leadership, engineers, and artists to evolve project designs while maintaining technical constraints Prototype new gameplay ideas and produce disposable prototypes to test concepts before full production Define project-wide technical standards and resolve high-impact technical issues across disciplines Required qualifications 5+ years of experience in professional game development with significant technical design responsibilities Experience shipping at least one AAA or large-scale online title in a technical designer role Strong proficiency in scripting and programming within Unreal Engine 5 Experience with C++ in a game development context Demonstrated experience building scalable, data-driven systems and pipelines
