Truck Jockey

Overview We’re hiring a Truck Jockey for our distribution center. This role drives fleet equipment in and out of the warehouse and verifies pallets for accuracy. You’ll work Monday–Friday evenings, starting at 5:00p.m., and help keep shipments safe. Schedule & Pay Keeps shift timing Monday‑Friday 5:00p.m. until the work is completed. Starting pay is $23.25 per hour with a Texas ClassA CDL. Perform pre‑trip daily inspections and maintain equipment batteries and fuel. Assist the DC loading team with staging, moving, and loading pallets. Visually verify pallets for accuracy and product security. Follow product handling procedures and report damage, returns, or dunnage. Ensure refrigeration units operate correctly and report issues. Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications 18years of age or older Basic English reading, writing, and math skills Texas ClassA CDL operator’s license Preferred Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent Effective communication skills Physical Requirements & Essential Functions Stand and walk for extended periods Pull/push loads up to 55lbs (off‑premise) or 165lbs (on‑premise) Perform heavy and repetitive lifting/placement of products Tolerate indoor/outdoor and extreme temperatures Work in noisy and crowded environments Use personal computer for email, data entry, and documentation Communicate effectively with employees and operate machinery Maintain a current and valid driver’s license Follow company policies, safety procedures, and attendance expectations Equal Opportunity Employer Andrews Distributing is an equal opportunity employer.
