Specimen Management Specialist
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Specimen Management Specialist in Harlingen, Texas to manage laboratory specimens and serve as a liaison between the lab, clients, and patients. The role involves specimen preparation, triaging, shipping, and resolving customer inquiries across multiple communication channels.
Responsibilities
- Serve as liaison between laboratory, clients, and patients
- Resolve customer requests via phone, email, and instant messaging
- Prepare, triage, and accurately identify specimens for analysis
- Pack, ship, and store specimen samples as required
- Review test forms for accuracy and report discrepancies
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years customer service or client-facing experience
- Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Pass standardized color blindness test
