Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for a defined group of patients during the assigned shift, using the nursing process and in alignment with the medical plan of care.
- Collaborate with physicians and the health care team; coordinate delivery of patient care for patients of various ages, including trauma and emergency presentations.
- Triage, treat, and support trauma and emergency patients in an acute care setting; participate in rapid assessment and stabilization as needed.
- Incorporate teaching needs and discharge planning into the overall plan of care; educate patients and families as appropriate.
- Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to licensed and unlicensed staff based on current clinical competence and scope of practice.
- Document assessments, care plans, interventions, and patient outcomes; ensure accurate medication administration and charting.

Requirements
- Current California RN license (active)
- Ability to work nights in a fast-paced emergency department environment
- Comfort delivering care to patients across the age spectrum, including trauma and acute presentations
- Ability to meet credentialing and job-specific requirements for ER assignments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to function within an interdisciplinary team
