Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for an OB/GYN Childbirth Center position requiring CST certification and BLS.

Details

• Childbirth Center OB/GYN unit setting
• Scrubs for Cesarean-Sections and prepares surgical instrumentation and surgical field peri- and intra-operatively
• Days shift, three 12-hour shifts (07:00-19:30)
• Must be available for call as needed
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through NBSTSA or NCCT required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• License required if applicable
• No prior experience required

Additional Information

• Responsible for post-operative room and instrument decontamination
• Stocks the OR, LDRs, Nursery, and Postpartum Rooms and removes outdated supplies and forms
• Performs direct and non-direct patient care duties including clerical, supply, and messenger responsibilities
• May work as unit secretary when needed
• Collaborates with all professional disciplines as part of the Childbirth team to support patient-family care, outcomes, and safety
• Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Local candidates accepted within 60 miles of Boston at a reduced rate
