The work focuses on planning, coordination, quality control, and the development of safe and effective practices. As a Highway Maintenance Coordinator, you will perform the following duties:Planning Support: Prepare plans and estimates for maintenance operations across multiple roadway activitiesResource Guidance: Provide recommendations on equipment, manpower, and material allocation to meet program goalsWork Coordination: Participate in organizing assignments and encourage clear and productive communicationField Oversight: Check in progress and completed field work for policy, procedure, quality, and plan complianceSafety Leadership: Ensure proper safety measures are used and promote awareness of conditions to prevent accidentsTeam Development: Participate in evaluating skills, identifying training needs, and supporting cooperative methods to improve operationsWork Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Overtime as needed, rotating on-callTelework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $60,538.00 (before taxes).You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:Three years as a Highway Foreman 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); orFive years of technical experience in highway maintenance or highway construction; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training.Special Requirement:This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.Other Requirements:You must meet the PA residency requirement.
