Program Assistant

A mature, reliable committed individual for our growing Programs department. This is a 25-30 hour a week Part-Time position. Responsible for managing and executing the new Grocery Pick Up program - not limited to managing client intake, communication and schedules, inventory maintainence and product pick up, volunteer orientation, training and scheduling. Handle related administrative tasks for the department to include data entry and substitute for the Program Manager as needed. Support the Executive Director and assist with 4 community food distributions. Assist with food delivery weekly if needed and support the team on Truck Tuesdays, food donation drop offs, cleanings as needed. Key Responsibilities: Manage the Grocery Pick up program - client intake, communication and schedules. To include reminder calls/texts, inventory management and procurement, pack bags. Assist the Program Manager with all aspects of Client Services. Data Entry, and other administrative tasks. Orient, training and schedule volunteers for the program. Support the Executive Director with 4 community food distributions a year. Manage programs in the absence of the Program Manager Assist with food donations and drives if needed Help the Operations team with weekly Truck Tuesdays, cleanings. Required Qualifications: Availability Monday- Friday from 9:30am-3:30pm. Is Saturday a month. Ability to lift 40-50 pounds bags of groceries. Reliable personal vehicle for delivery and product pick up. Excellent time management skills. Attention to detail personable individual. College, or a unique lived experience. Non profit experience Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus $21.00 / hour No health insurance or retirement benefits offered.
