Senior Optical Test Engineer | Optical Systems | Santa Barbara | Circa $240,000 An innovative technology company developing next-generation optical communication solutions for high-performance computing and AI infrastructure is seeking a Senior Optical Systems Test Engineer. This organization is focused on advancing photonic integration and high-speed link architectures to overcome limitations in current data centre technologies The role involves developing and refining validation approaches for advanced communication interfaces, ensuring reliable system performance across both electrical and optical domain s. Responsibiliti es:Lead testing of high-speed electrical and optical communication syste ms.Define and implement test strategies for high-bandwidth link validati on.Develop and execute validation plans, including system-level performance testi ng.Analyse signal integrity and optical performance metrics to ensure design complian ce.Build and maintain automated test frameworks and scalable test setu ps.Troubleshoot and resolve link performance and system-level issu es.Collaborate cross-functionally and provide technical leadership and mentori ng. Qualificati ons:Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, or related fi eld.Strong experience in high-speed electrical and optical link test ing.Expertise in signal integrity and optical communication fundament als.Proficiency with lab instrumentation and test automation (Python preferr #J-18808-Ljbffr
