Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator to join our rough carpentry construction team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating closely with clients, project managers, and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and successful project execution. Duties

• Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to interpret project scope and material requirements
• Analyze material costs, labor rates, subcontractor quotes, and equipment needs to develop comprehensive project budgets
• Manage the estimation process from initial bid through final proposal submission, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness
• Conduct site visits when necessary to assess existing conditions and gather additional information for accurate estimation
• Monitor project costs during execution to ensure adherence to budgets and implement cost control measures as needed

Skills

• Experience in the rough carpentry field preferably
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents with precision
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) for spreadsheets, cost analysis, and report generation
• Deep understanding of construction industry practices related to commercial projects, including cost management and material estimating
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Knowledge of contracts, project management principles, and construction site experience enhances estimation accuracy
